AUSTIN, Texas - In response to the tragic events that occurred in West, Texas on April 17, 2013, the staff at the Hampton Inn Austin NW/Arboretum has implemented a donation drive for its team members, guests and corporate clients.

"West is located less than 100 miles away from our hotel in Austin and when we heard about the disaster, we jumped right into action," said Nicole Word, general manager, Hampton Inn Austin NW/Arboretum. "Service is the core to our business, and just as we strive to provide outstanding service to our guests, we hope to extend that hospitality outside of our hotel walls by working together to make a greater impact in the West community through Hands-On Hamptonality."

To date, the Hampton Inn Austin NW/Arboretum has collected just over 200 pounds of food, bedding, clothing and other necessities for the victims of the horrendous events that occurred in West, TX last week. Members of the hotel's sales team as well as the general manager of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Round Rock plan to personally deliver all collected donations to the city of West Texas on April 24, 2013.
